Preparing your child for adventure

Part of ensuring your child's positive experience includes having the appropriate clothing and items designated for each program. Below is a list of gear your child must bring to camp.  If you have any questions regarding clothing or supplies, please contact us

Day Programs (Daily lunches will be provided)

• Sturdy Shoes With Ankle Support
• Full Change of Clothes (including socks & underwear)
• Rain Jacket
• Rain Pants
• Brimmed Hat
• Bandana      
• Sweater or Fleece
• Bathing Suit
• Sunglasses
• Sun-block (SPF 30 or higher)
• Water-bottle (2 quart)
• Backpack to Contain Clothing & Items
• Medications (in prescription bottles or pharmacy bubble packs)
• Camera (optional)

(The less of this clothing that is cotton the better!)

Overnight Programs (Daily meals and snacks will be provided)

• Sturdy Shoes With Ankle Support
• Sleeping Bag (Appropriate to 30 degrees F)
• Sleeping Pad
• 3 x Full Changes of Clothes (including socks & underwear)
• Rain Jacket
• Rain Pants
• Brimmed Hat
• Bandana
• Sweater or Fleece
• Polypropylene Tops & Bottoms (Long underwear)
• Bathing Suit
• Sunglasses
• Sun-block (SPF 30 or higher)
• Water-bottle (2 quart)
• Backpack to Contain Clothing & Items
• Medications (in prescription bottles or pharmacy bubble packs)
• Toiletries (toothbrush, travel toothpaste, hand sanitizer, personal hygeine products)
• Camera (optional)

(With the exception of a cotton T-shirt, all clothing should be synthetic or quick-dry fibers)

Prohibited Items - the following items are not permitted at Northland Adventure and will be confiscated if brought:

• Knives
• Firearms
• Fireworks
• Lighters/Matches
• Alcohol
• Tobacco
• Illegal Drugs
• Unapproved or Unlabeled Medications
• Cell phones, PDAs, Handheld Video Game Systems, iPods
